SKYDIO X10D DRONES TESTED AT THE RUSSIAN BORDER – GPS-FREE FLIGHTS IN CHALLENGING CONDITIONS

On August 28, at the Border Guard branch in Barciany, part of the Warmia-Masuria division on the border with the Russian Federation, field flights of Skydio X10D drones took place. The event was organized by the Border Guard Headquarters, the Border Guard Training Center in Kętrzyn, and the aeroMind company.

The flights were conducted both during the day and at night, in a potentially challenging electronic warfare (EW) environment. Special attention was given to flights without GPS support, where at altitudes exceeding 500 meters, the Skydio X10D drones successfully navigated using vision-based technology. All participants had the opportunity to perform individual operations.

We were also pleased to welcome two Skydio teams led by Marek Loader, who oversees Skydio's government projects in Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Ukraine. The teams included pilots who regularly train Ukrainian armed forces, highlighting the international dimension and significance of this event.
